Adjustment File Transfers

When any given matter is filed by this office to a regional USCIS Service Center, our firm includes a Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative.  Correspondence in almost all cases should thereafter flow from USCIS back to our firm.  We have recently heard from some of our clients that despite the G-28 on file, individual beneficiaries are receiving notices directly from the Service Centers.  These notices inform the clients that their respective I-485, Applications for Adjustment of Status (AOS), are being or have been transferred from one Service Center to another.

If you are one of the clients who has received or does receive such a notice, please take the following action:  fax (650-324-1384) // or scan and email // or send via overnight delivery (525 Middlefield Rd., Suite 200, Menlo Park, CA 94025) a copy of any letter or notice you receive from USCIS.  Our office may not always get these items and if not, we cannot track the matter properly on our clients’ behalf.

To our HR contacts: please pass this message along to your employees if they would otherwise not have access to our client alerts.
